Special Edition: To Have and to Hoax

We had the opportunity to try something new - we were asked if we'd like to interview debut author Martha Waters about her book To Have and to Hoax, you know, back then when the world was young and we were allowed to leave our houses.  Martha was really nice and we feel really bad that all her fun book release party stuff got cancelled - however, she's doing a virtual launch Tuesday April 7th on Instagram at 7 PM EST so maybe go join her there.

To Have and to Hoax is a Publisher's Weekly starred Regency romantic comedy about... well, about somebody who fakes contracting a fatal respiratory disease so, like, timely!  This is a great time to support your local bookstore, so we've linked to Martha's local Chapel Hill bookstore Flyleaf (where her party was supposed to take place) if you'd like to buy a copy.  Looks like they're doing $1 media mail shipping if you spend $25!

GOOD NEWS, BITCHES!  We're a strong independent podcast who don't need no man... now!

We haven't been on hiatus - we've actually been having some technical problems getting ourselves up on iTunes as our own podcast, but now we're up and running and you should go subscribe to us and rate us wherever you get your podcasts - you can find us on Apple Podcasts, Overcast, Stitcher, or just grab our RSS link.

We started out as a part of my husband's podcast, the Collinsport Historical Society, because frankly we didn't realize anybody would listen to us and give a crap about what we had to say!  We've been blown away by your support, so it's time to make ourselves easier to find.  You'll find our episode about Barnabas Collins by Marilyn Ross on both podcast feeds, but if you want to catch any more of our antics you'll have to follow us to our new separate feed.

The Collinsport Historical Society podcast has been reactivated and is going to have lots of great Dark Shadows audio content, so you probably don't want to unsubscribe to it - try it, you'll probably dig it!

To kick off our new feed and hopefully make Apple like us, we're also holding a contest!  Just leave a review of our podcast on Apple Podcasts before June 30th and that will enter you to win faaaaabulous prizes!  (Well, a tote bag and some terrible paperbacks we've read.)  We really appreciate you rating and reviewing us on all the platforms, so please do that, but just so we don't accidentally miss anybody's entry we're only counting the ones on Apple.
