Episode 37 - These Old Shades

She's a feisty hoyden disguised as a boy!  He wears pantyhose and makes it look good!  It's the court of Louis XV (we totally get it wrong in the podcast!)  We're still on Zoom and we apologize for the audio quality!  That's right, it's a real romance classic - we read Georgette Heyer's These Old Shades, a book with a skeevy age gap, some grossly flippant talk about miscarriage, a good old Romance Novel Kidnapping, and the kind of people who are obviously aristocrats because they are attractive in a very specific inbred way!

We have a little first edition of this book - it's not fancy or anything but we're giving it away!  So if you're seeing this post when this is a new podcast, hop on over to our social media and comment on the post letting us know what your favorite historical romance is and one of you will win this book!

This podcast is brought to you by viewers like you!  But also by Crushing It by Lorelai Parker, published by Kensington Books…

Good news - we're doing transcripts!

Image result for all work and no play
We here at Bodice Tipplers want everybody to be able to enjoy our podcast!  To that end, we've started working on episode transcripts.  You can view the first one here, for Shadow of the Lynx.  They'll be Google Docs linked on each episode page as they become available.

Unfortunately, because we do long podcasts in a conversational format, transcripts are really time consuming to produce.  We'd love to put up one for each episode on the day it releases, but it's just not possible to do that and keep up a reasonable production schedule.  So what we'll do instead is try to put up a transcript of the first few minutes as a teaser when we go live with an episode and then when we can finally get a full transcript up, we'll let you know on social media that you can go back to the episode page and find the whole thing.

This is new for us, so if you have feedback please let us know how we can do better - you can e-mail us at bodicetipplers@gmail.com or interact with us on Facebook or Twitter.
