Episode 41 - The Persian Boy by Mary Renault

Ever get super horny for Alexander the Great, conqueror of worlds?  You will.  Join us as we get classical up in here with Mary Renault's 1972 The Persian Boy, a book about a traumatized teenager whose vast ambition centers entirely on jumping Alexander's bones.  Heads up - this book's got all sorts of traumatic historical stuff in it including but not limited to forced castration, rape, enslavement, and up close and personal war.

Introducing Bodice Tipplers Plague Kitchen!

Hey y'all, it's the End Times and a lot of people don't really know how to cook! So I, the Sara half of this podcast, have started making videos about using your pantry ingredients, saving money by cooking from scratch, you know - apocalypse cooking!  But you don't have to eat a rabbit's eyeballs!  This first episode is about roasting the vegetables you've got rotting in your crisper.  In the future I'm going to do stuff like simple sauces, beans, easy breads, mac and cheese using a roux, etc.  They'll be showing up on our Bodice Tipplers YouTube channel and I'll push them out on Facebook too.  Let me know what you think.
